Truffle Shuffle Assignment

So about a month ago, we were given an assignment, we each had a t-shirt from Truffle Shuffle and we were asked to customise it in any way we wanted. I picked an 80's t-shirt and thought to myself what can i do without avoiding this looking predictable. So here it is.

1. I started out cutting the centres of the 8 and 0. I had not idea what to put, i just wanted to cut them out.

2. I looked around the house to see what i could find. Saw lace, mesh, net and finally i came across a clear shower curtain!

3. I thought of the 80's and saw Madonna with her dramatic make-up and lush eyelashes, and who puts eyelashes on a t-shirt. Unpredictable!

4. I got a total of about 12 pairs to make it look fuller and thicker.

5. I found some old cassettes lying in a storage box in the loft and took out the reel and gently placed it at the edge of the eyelashes and around the heart. I also folded the sleeves to make it look less clean.

*updated* Final look!!

Katrina Kaif at People's choice awards 2012

Katrina Kaif was spotted at this years People's choice awards wearing a Spring 2012 Valentino Lace dress, pairing this with purple jewelled sandal. She looks cute but hardly seems like a red carpet look. She could have made this work with sky-high peep-toes in a bright colour and hair pulled back in a rough high ponytail.

Relic..!!

So our second shoot was all abut Relic. To have something old and fragmented and make it look HOT. Once again all of our looks turned out so different to one another and the amount of diversity in our awesome class was evident. Here's my look. Hope you guys like it :)

In case you are wondering, yes they are tools on my corset!

Giving the tool top a bit of contrast with a girly skirt

The beautiful Yana, working my look 110%. Couldn't have asked for anyone better :)

Namrata Joshipura

There really isn't much i have to say about this collection, except that it is HOT! Embellishments, sheer and lace! Hats off to hair and make-up too.

Alpana & Neeraj

I know this collection is going to be a popular one! Sculpture, 3-dimension and print all in one. Even in images, the garments look like they have life in them. Showing shoulder embellishments and very-now peplum style.

Rishta

Arjun Saluja showed us collection which may sound quiet on paper, but has said a lot on the catwalk. Presenting a neutral palette,  with some strong silhouettes and prints.

Gaurav Gupta

Mr. Gupta is a genius! Every garment is perfectly sculpted with pleats and drapes giving us an extra push in his favour. The sari-inspired dresses are a usual for the designer, however the sculpted shoulders are not a regular.

Rahul Mishra

Jackets, dresses, saris, pants and shorts! This collection had it all, topped off with the magical weave that the designer is known for! The colour palette was the right mix, not to bright, not too dull.

Nachiket Barve

Another one of my favourites! Staying true to feminine garment, with the use of bright colours, soft silhouettes and feminine florals, this collection both Indian and western wear is one that is making my list!

Anupamaa

Anupama Dayal and her latest collection is screaming Bright Boho in India! These laid-back looks add are mixed up with the neck embellishments and give it a unique approach!

Anaikka

Kanika Saluja gave another collection of evening wear with the heavy embellishments. The emerald green with gold will be a hit on the red carpet, but i would love to see someone change it up in the gunmetal jumpsuit.

Rajesh Pratap Singh

Fierce has a new form in the image of this collection!! Sharp and strong silhouettes, glammed up with spikes and studs and gold accents. Love the bold shoulders and metallic spine at the back (slightly reminiscent of McQueen)

Manish Malhotra

Looks like MM is steering away from the glitz and glam of Bollywood and is changing it up a bit. Seeing a rare addition of Olive into his colour palette, and mixing it with colours that you wouldn't really expect to work so well. But him being Manish Malhotra, he makes it work. Seeing the usual silhouettes, made with not-so usual fabrics, its nice to see a little bit of a mash-up. Actor Parineeti Chopra was show-stopper, and she did look stunning!
